This specific guide is for Tracklib use only and is not a real works registration. That's the next step in the process, and we will of course help!
You need an IPI number to complete this step. To get one, register at your local PRO - they are responsible for collecting performance royalties from the country you are based in. If you want to keep track of your royalties globally, you can just sign up with our partner Songtrust and get worldwide registration to 43 PROs as well as global revenue collection is included. Use the code ”tracklib” and get 15% off the normal rate.
Songwriter(s) and/or publisher(s)
We need to know the combined total of all publishers and writers in your new song. This total includes the original writer(s) and publisher(s) which are listed here already, with their correct shares. Add writers and publishers here until the total reaches 100% to continue.
It's not possible to add publishers (including the publishers of the original song) that add up to more than 50%.
NOTE: If you use ASCAP you need the split between writers and publishers to be exactly 50%/50%.
