If you showcase your beats in public anywhere, for example on social media, a dedicated platform (like Beatstars) or your own website - you need to license the beat before doing so.
- You will need an ISRC and while we're working on being able to provide one for you but for now, if you're not also releasing the beat with a distributor, you can get an ISRC from your national agency.
- You need to make it very clear that the beat contains a sample from Tracklib, and that they will need to license it through us to be able to release it.
- You will be responsible for accounting for this version of your beat. However, you are not required to account for or share a percentage of revenue from beat sales.
- When you sell or lease your beat to someone, the buyer needs to get their own license. They would need a Tracklib account and can choose between a limited free account with no subscription where they need to pay a license fee, or to subscribe to our Premium or Max plans where the license fee is covered by their subscription.
- You can send your registration to the buyer, and they get basic information about what song was sampled and how much of it was used. Read more about sending your song here.
- The buyer will be responsible for accounting for their version of your beat at least every 6 months. You can read more about revenue reporting here.
If you only showcase your beats in private, for example by sending it to a label or to a potentially interested artist, you don't need to license the beat before doing so. You can also upload your beat to your Tracklib profile and share by using the link to Tracklib without obtaining a sample license.

- If the sale is exclusive to a single buyer, once you have reported all revenue for the beat and removed it from sale, you can contact the support team to have your license terminated, which will mean you are no longer required to report revenue for it.
